O’Neill’s Continental Youth Championships Annual Scholarships

Application Information

The O'Neill's Continental Youth Championship Scholarships will provide some tuition assistance to graduating seniors enrolling in an accredited undergraduate program in the fall. The recipients of these scholarships are selected based on the applicant’s demonstrated academic achievement, essay, and participation commitment to the CYC tournament and giving back to their youth programs.

One $500 USD scholarship will be awarded in each of the following categories: Ladies Football; Camogie; Hurling; Gaelic Football

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

- Current high school seniors (class of 2024); or Grade 12 (Class of 2024) in Canada; Finishing Grade 11 (class of 2025) IF you will not be eligible to participate in 2025 because of your age, or enrolled in CJEP in Québec (if you will graduate before CYC 2025)

- Citizen of Canada or the United States

- Current member of a local GAA club within the Continental United States or Canada

- Participant in the 2024 CYC

APPLICATION MATERIALS:

- Submit Application

- Submit an essay (minimum 250 words, maximum 400 words) on ONE of the following topics:

1. History of your GAA club.

2. A GAA Volunteer I admire.

3. The GAA Manifesto, Where We All Belong - How is that embodied in your club, by yourself and the people within your club?

OR

4. The importance of continuing the GAA/LGFA/Camogie pathways - How do I pay it forward/give back to my club in the same way that someone has devoted their time and effort to my development?

Winners announced on July 14, 2024 at the fields and on Facebook Live, and will be posted on the website and social media platforms.
